Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce were chased through this area by the U.S. Cavalry in 1877.  The views and history are amazing and so are the wolves and grizzlies!  A camper was ripped open near our campsite that weekend by a sow and cub.

The fishing was good at Copper Lake and the grouse hunting was excellent, too!

The cabin below is at Lee City, Wy., an old gold mining settlement from the 1800's.  There is still an active claim mined in the area today.
