These were taken Labor Day week at Sunlight Basin, in the Shoshone National Forest, just a few miles from Yellowstone National Park

  • Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce were chased through this area by the U.S. Cavalry in 1877.  The views and history are amazing and so are the wolves and grizzlies!  A camper was ripped open near our campsite that weekend by a sow and cub.

  • The fishing was good at Copper Lake and the grouse hunting was excellent, too!

  • The cabin below is at Lee City, Wy., an old gold mining settlement from the 1800's.  There is still an active claim mined in the area today.
