TRANQUILITY,
PEACE AND SOLITUDE AWAIT YOU!
Bring your horses mountain bikes or comfortable shoes and check out the trail, beside the
"Trail's End" cabin, that leads right into the Big South Fork National Recreation Area! You can rent horses very nearby, canoe the awesome Big
South Fork of the Cumberland River, hike or ride 200+ miles of trails, or just sit by the fire, relax & enjoy the
peace, quiet & serenity of Tennessee's beautiful Cumberland Plateau.
We're sure you will love your stay. Many beautiful & interesting rock
formations adorn the Cumberland Plateau & are just waiting for you to explore!
(the Twin Arches, one is above, are just a few miles from the cabin, along with Indian Rock
House, Hazard Cave, Charitt Creek Lodge, several overlooks and many other
natural wonders).
The
focal point of the living room is the beautiful, Tennessee fieldstone,
wood-burning fireplace. The fully furnished interior is lovely,
clean, relaxing
and waiting for you to spend a few peaceful days recuperating from life!
The warm, wood interior has three 3 bedrooms, 2 baths (one with whirlpool tub),
c/h/a, all appliances, large covered porches with chairs & swing, a gas grill and much more.
Linens, soap and paper products are provided. The cabin
will sleep 6 people. There's a fire ring outside for your enjoyment around the
campfire at night, if you like. There are satellite TV's and a DVD/VCR with
quite a few movies. If it rains and you want to enjoy the comfort of a
quiet day, you can kick back and movies or one of the games or crossword puzzles.
There are 4 covered stalls for horses and 2 open stalls of panels. The area offers
gorgeous scenery & a lot of Kodak moments, whether from a car,
horseback, or on foot!
If you wonder what the trails are like in the area, click below & follow the
link to pictures of some of our rides. The trails here are suitable for all
levels of rider. Most trails are nearly level, wide & sandy, a trail
rider's dream. The only places you encounter rocky, steep sections of
trail are when you drop down off the plateau to the creek or river levels and
again coming back up the other side. Some can be a little rough, but most
trails are easily
negotiated on a good horse. Hundreds of miles of trails can be accessed
right from the cabin. It's a perfect home base for trail riders.
